In our January 2019 Newsletter we have, amongst other things, a wrap-up of our AGM and combined staff & service user Christmas party.
We apologise for the delay putting the November Newsletter up so late, it was forgotten in all the comings and goings over the New Year.
MACS hopes everyone had an enjoyable and safe Christmas, New Year, and Silly Season!

The MACS Annual General Meeting will be on Saturday December 1st, starting at 1pm at our Chermside office meeting room.
After the AGM finishes (hopefully by 2pm) we will be have a Christmas BBQ for service users and staff (see invite above).
Our 2018 staff and service user surveys are now up online at surveymonkey.com.
We’d like to make a special mention in this newsletter of the hard work put in by Lauren submitting applications to the Gambling Community Benefit Fund (GCBF), which resulted in the above (display model only, not quite to scale).
It’s not often we get to post a sporty action photo in our newsletter but this month was an exception. “Dave” (a.k.a. MACS manager Alison Herring), is pictured above representing Brisbane in the state basketball championships held in June. (more…)
In the spirit of “better late than never”, here’s our back catalogue of newsletters from 2017 and 2018 so far.
The one thing the NDIS certainly doesn’t have a shortage of is information about the scheme, but it can be hard to know where to start. So if you’re more of a “sounds and moving pictures” learner, rather than reading through brochures, manuals, and other written material, you may want to subscribe to the NDIS YouTube channel.
Many people may have received an introductory letter from the NDIS in January. This letter refers to a phone call you may receive, called an “access request”, which should just be to confirm your eligibility to access the scheme.
MACS has always been a not-for-profit organisation, but many of you may not know that MACS recently registered for tax deductible charity status. So now, for any donation over two dollars, you can earn our eternal thanks and claim it on your tax!
